It's been quite a day. But let's go back to last night first. Poor Kate's green snot kept her from sleeping unless she was held and rocked. So I was in a really good mood this morning. :)
Then, as I was occupied with Kate this morning, Riley was apparently cooking up a feast in the kitchen. I just went in there to start some dinner prep and found all kinds of concoctions in my dishes that were put back into the cabinet. One mixing bowl had all our scrabble pieces and about 1/2 cup of flour. My big skillet was full of lemon juice.
Edit: it wasn't lemon juice. It was old milk.
She had also attempted to grate some hot pink chalk on the cheese grater. It is slightly frustrating, but thankfully today it was more commical to me. It's such a funny thing to find and just picture Riley cooking away, giving commentary on all her cooking steps as she goes. She does that while she's eating meals too.
"I just mix this wonderful turkey with the smooth cheese and it's just delicious." We watch too many cooking shows.
Did I mention there's snot everywhere? Kate's a monkey with snot now. So not only is she all over everything, but she's leaving shiny streaks all along the way.
Oh, and while I was cleaning the old milk out of the pan Kate stole one of the girls' yogurt drinks and poured it on her head, the kitchen floor, and the princess dancing mat, which created much drama.
I am SO pumped for Shannon's party tonight!

I am really glad for you that you found all that funny. Wow.
It sounds like your day called for extra caffeine. I don't know if I could have found that funny with such little sleep- lack of sleep makes me really grumpy.
