Yesterday we went for a wagon ride through the neighborhood collecting leaves, and then wax papered them in the window.

This morning we got out our Thanksgiving decor. Nathan got these turkey plates for me a million Christmases ago and I love them, and we only get to use them a few weeks out of the year, so I pull them out as soon as halloween is over. Riley was so pumped about the cute turkeys. She begged that we light the candles to get the full effect.

The only thing I might possibly dislike about this time of year is daylight saving time. The girls wake around 6 and when I think surely it's about time to fix lunch, it's only 10:30. And Kate, who usually just goes down at 2 with Claire, was nodding off over her lunch yesterday. So sweet. So the day feels a bit longer/slower. Not a huge deal, just something to adjust to.
Here's sweet Kate enjoying some playdough. I love how she pokes out her lips when she's concentrating.

Then when I started vacuuming up stray playdough, Kate ran for cover in the trash can with her precious halloween candy container. Notice the still-running snot.

when I have kids, will you give me some weird crafts to do, like putting leaves on wax paper? I won't remember on my own.
