What a week it's been. Nathan has been taking vacation all this week and we've just been busy busy doing house projects. He's sanding down the imperfect spots on the bathroom cabinets. This is where we are very different. I like to go as fast as possible to just say the job is done. I really did think they looked acceptable. Nathan likes every detail to be beautiful...as do I (and I do appreciate that about him), but I don't have the patience for that. But I am learning. Our new motto is "slower really is faster", or something like that, because slower means you did a good job the first time so that you don't have to take 3 times as long redoing what you mesed up.
Along with that we got all our Christmas shopping done when Grandma and Mimi took the girls for the day. That was very fun.
And now I've just got a few things to cook for Thanksgiving. I love this. I can get very excited about cooking food for family get-togethers. I love good food and I love hanging out with my family.

Anyone planning to marry an engineer should be warned of the "every detail must be done right" trait :-)
