My New Resolution

I have misplaced my camera, which had some sweet pictures on it, so until I find that I'll share my new resolution with you.
Amanda has fallen off the wagon - the sugar wagon, that is. I get so excited about the holidays. Festiveness is just so fun. So as soon as we run out of cookies, we must make some more. I went a little too far yesterday. I made waffles for the girls (syrupy), had a pile of fifty trillion cookies sitting in the kitchen I munched on all day, ate our last left-over hot chocolate fudge cake, and then went to my nephew Hudson's house and had some birthday cake with really special, flavored cream loaded coffee (thanks Al).
My body is getting the hang of it too. Every couple of hours it says to me, "We're feeling tired, Amanda. Let's get festive and eat some sugar." So last night I was confessing all of this to Nathan. I said something about not eating sugar until Christmas day. Nathan said I couldn't do it, and that's all I needed. So whose with me? I actually decided no sugar until Christmas Eve because Nathan's mom makes up a snacky feast and I pretty much look forward to Christmas Eve at their house all year. You've got to have nog and goodies on Christmas eve, right?
So it started today. I had apple sauce on my waffle. It would definitely be more fun (as fun as not eating sugar can be) if I had a friend or two joining the cause with me. And Christmas Eve will be that much more exciting!

I'm not sure how cool we are, but I do know we are defiantly old :)
I only know how many days we have because my kids are keeping a count-down on the chalk board in the kitchen.
I'm figuring I need all the help I can get to keep myself awake for 2 more weeks! So, I'm weak & can't go w/out sweets. But I will cheer you on & I promise not to post anything about Christmas yummy things :) Good Luck!!!

I'm with you. I'm almost skinny again. And Shannon's wedding is VERY SOON! So I can do all things, except coffee - have to have sugar in that. I'm not a honey girl. no sweets, no problem :)

Hey, I'm trying not to eat sugar til Christmas Eve too! I'm glad you are doing the same thing because a coworker said to me last night that that was a weird thing to not eat. Whatever!

Oh, Good idea. I might have to think about doing it with you, but not tonight because Elliot made some coffee cake for stress relief. I can't shun that now can I?

My husband does that (cuts out sugar) and then he loses weight. Mine is carbs.I usually eat sugar free most of the time so does it count to eat sugar free stuff? Like Diet Coke and sugar free vanilla in my coffee? If so, I am in!! I am so excited for Shannon's wedding, we already got sitters for new years eve, new years day (rehersal) and the wedding!!

HAHA Sheboz. The husband and I are both in now. Sigh. I had my last sugar fix for awhile. Everyone please come eat the rest of the coffee cake.
