We're counting down the days

We've got this canister full of trinkets Nathan's mom collected and Nathan used to put into their advent box when he was growing up.
Now the girls take turns picking out their special trinket...
and putting it in the advent box. Then we count how many days we have left (7!).
We had Riley's party last night and it went really well. I got no pictures because it was a little crazy and I didn't even think about it.

Oh ya, and I ate one of these.

A little white chocolate key lime pie. and oh was it good. Sorry to dissapoint. I'm back on my game till Christmas Eve though. I just had to. Everyone was moaning and groaning over it's goodness. Nathan felt great triumph in my "defeat." I punched his arm and bragged about the fact that I still haven't nibbled any of the mint chocolate brownies that are still in the fridge. Someone come eat them! and pat me on the back. :)

that little key lime treat was tasty - looks like some burnt stuff with cold grease on top - but it tasted amazing! :)

no judgment here. I single handedly ate like 10 pounds of candy the last two days. Guess what kids get teachers for Christmas? candy.

in the grand scheme of things I don't think eating the key lime pie counts as a defeat. you've consumed a heck of a lot less sugar this december than you normally would at this time of year. like 2% out of 100% or something like that. so rock on. :)
