The den is can lighted and almost classy. I have permission to paint the wood paneling and that will put it over the top with classiness, I hope. Now that the fireplace is usable and the tree is up in there, it has become our favorite room in the house to turn on the Christmas music (mostly Indigo Girls' Happy Happy Hanukkah) and dance (and climb into the Christmas tree box and let people kick it. That's our fun new game).

Last night we FINALLY didn't sit our tired butts down on the couch as soon as the girls were in bed, and we got the 2nd Roman shade hung in our bedroom. I love checking halfway done projects off the list. It's not perfectly done, but it's good. As Nathan was getting the screwdriver ready for the project Kate was doing her get-out-of-bed-12-times-bef0re-falling-to-sleep ritual and Nathan pointed the screw driver at her (as a joke) and she said, "I just don't want you to screw me!" We had a good laugh.

AH, what should I get Nathan for Christmas?!
