Well, I am obsessed with painting my house. It's the den's turn right now. I cannot face these walls without having had some coffee, or I will just give up from the enormity of the task ahead. And then Nathan and I were up late last night just talking about what kind of curtain I should make for the living room window that still has the paper over it that we hung up when we moved in a year ago. Nathan has some ideas that are very engineer-y and scare me. But it could be great. It involves metal rods and magnets and me sewing very straight lines. Now you want one too, don't you. ha.
Back to the den. If I only prime during Lola's morning naps (I have to do other things during her afternoon nap) it will take me about 20 days (an hour a day), if I do it every day. So I attempted to brush while she was awake, but she is very attracted to my white stripes while I prime the little ridges between the panels. She had paint all in her hair because, for some reason, she liked to rub the stripes and then grab her hair. Fun times. It will be so nice when it's done though. I already like the room better now that I've covered a quarter of the wood.
Lola's new thing is flushing toilets, especially if anyone is sitting on them. And she sings the nighty-night song whenever she gets tired.
In other news, and this is fairly old news, but if you want a great meal, go to our good friend, Mitch's restaurant, SMOKE. on Cherry Street. It's awesome, and Nathan likes to take credit for the lit sign on the outside. It really is a great place and we're so excited for Mitch.
