Praying for a friend

Every day I go to a couple's blog and read her husband's account of her cancer journey. And every time I do, I feel anything I might have to say about circumstances in my life isn't worth mentioning.
Vicki has been fighting a heroic battle with cancer and is beating all odds. Though she has had such successful results from her treatment, every day she has pain, constant itching, weakness...all kinds of difficulties I can't imagine having to endure. Right now all she wants is to have the strength and concentration to be able to read her Bible and study again. She is so exhausted that the effort to take in the Word is too much.
I'll never forget when she came to speak at our women's breakfast. She talked about the Israelites escaping Pharaoh and reaching the Red Sea. The army was behind them and Sea before them. Moses said, "The Lord will fight for you. You have only to be silent."
Vicki talked about the many times she came to her "Red Sea" when things were looking grim with her cancer. Vicki said she knows that the Lord's plan and the good of His children are never in conflict. His plan is good for His children. If the Israelites faced death rather than deliverance, the Lord is still good. She knows she will die of this cancer and said that when she gets there she hopes to say, "Lord, thank you. You've brought me here to die. Thank you, Lord."
I've never read a negative thing on on their blog or heard a negative word from her mouth through her illness. She has always been sure that the Lord is full of love for her, even in giving her cancer.
This is a very low time for her as the effects of the chemo are making her more exhausted than ever. If you think of her, please say a prayer for her. She is very dear to us.
