When I brought all the kids in from picking up girls from school, Lola was poopy and Claire was needing help with home work and Riley was dumping playground rocks out of her shoes. I was yelling, "Please dump those rocks in a trash! Just a minute Claire, I have to change the poo!" Kate had fallen asleep in the van and I plopped her onto the floor and she rolled over with her sleepy eyes and said so compassionately, "You have a lot of kids to take care of, so I'll just wait here until you can get me a snack." She also regularly reassures Nathan and I when we make a mistake, "That's okay, I still love you." *kiss*
Though she is often oblivious to boundaries with people. She places her hand on a man's thigh as she pushes through the fair to see the zebra. She asks strangers questions about themselves, and when they answer, she squints her nose, shakes the hair out of her eyes, gives a long, hard sniff, and runs off. Her sisters giggle and say, "Kate is so brave." She's different than the rest of us. She's very free with her questions, opinions, physical contact, and reassurance of her love.

Hahaha that is awesome. "You have a lot of kids to take care of..." does not seem like a typical 4-year-old observation. All of your kids are so cool and interesting. Must have cool and interesting parents!
Oh man that cracked me up. Kate is amazing.
