Prune Power Balls

Well, I usually use dates, but they are twice the price and twice the sugar.  So today, we use prunes.

Into your food processor, pour:
3/4 cup tree nuts (I use walnuts)
3/4 cup dates (or prunes)
2T peanut butter
3 T cacao (I just use dark choc chips)

Process until mush.  Form into tablespoon balls and refrigerate.  
Get a helper like this one...


I usually double this recipe.  This is a good replacement for peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the girls' lunch.  Or a great afternoon snack that feels like a cookie, but is actually as healthy as a bowl of beans.  I don't know.  I'm making this stuff up.

I think we will have to try these. I bought some prunes but just can't eat them plain so maybe this will keep them from going to waste!
