Well, Lola is adorable

This year, Christmas means a little more to Lola than it did last year.  Last night we were driving through town and the girls were so happy to see Christmas lights.  They were all shouting, "On Riley's side!...OH! Look on Lola's side!"  Every time they saw lights someone shouted out about it.  Lola would see them and exclaim in the breathiest little way, with precious inflection, "Oh my goo'ness!"

She did the same thing when we turned on Polar Express the other night.  Santa was about to arrive.  When he showed up she gasped and yelled, "OH my GOO'ness!"

This morning I was singing to her, "The child, the child, sleeping in the night.  He will bring us goodness and light.  He will bring us goodness and light."  She got all embarrassed and thought I was singing about her.  She said, "Because I'm a child?"  I said, "Yes, you are a child.  And when Jesus came He was a child too.  And he brought us goodness and light."  And she said, "I want some goldfish."  I was hoping for the, "Oh my goo'ness" again.  Oh well.  I am excited that she can begin to understand more of the real meaning of Christmas this year.
