I've already told you about this torte. It's beautiful, light, hazel-nutty, a little chocolatey, creamy...like, all our favorite things layered together. It's also flour-less.
I don't know how to put it's picture up here, but if you follow the link, you'll see it's beautiful too.
I loved it so much, and also loved that I could make certain steps of it a day or two ahead of time, that I decided to make a few for Ange's baby shower this weekend.
Then I realized a few kids were going to attend the shower (including ALL of mine :)) and didn't want to have to make a 4th torte for the kids. I also thought there should be a pink dessert, and maybe a few people would prefer a non-nutty thing. And the more dessert the better, right?
So I'm also going to make these strawberry cupcakes. I love that the icing has the strawberry bits in it, and you pull this off without it being too juicy by using ground, freeze-dried strawberries. Genius. I'll get me some.
Alright, no more time for chatting. Time to drink coffee and bake.
