This is what the sky looked like just before it fell last week. I swear it was rotating. My heart was racing. I was waiting in the driveway at piano lessons, looking at my phone radar map, trying to decide if the hail would wait until they were finished. It was pouring rain when I grabbed them and we ran to the van yelling, "Run for your lives!", swimming through puddles and getting drenched.
And as we buckled our seat belts, the sun came out.
Also last week, Lola became ill. Nathan and I were up all night holding a trash can for her. Poor girl. She is the best vomiter of all our kids. She has never missed the can. It makes us love her more. :)
While Lola laid on the couch with Netflix and recovered, the girls found my box of fabric and begged to make aprons and pillows, and aprons with pillows sewn onto them. They have such strange ideas. We made a mess.
Riley gets it done.
Kate designed her apron.
So that was last week, hanging out in our jammies a lot.
This week we're out the door, getting the girls to camp every morning. Once the big girls are dropped off, Lola and I run like mad and get lots done. Yesterday, as we came home from the grocery store, my phone reminded me that Lola had a Dr. appt. in 10 minutes. Darn! We got there late, but at least she didn't have to get shots. Yay!
Today was Lola's gymnastics. Cute!
This weekend the big girls ride with Daddy in the Tulsa Townie. It's Tulsa Tough weekend, guys! Come watch the races with us. We always sit across from El Guapo's to see the bike wrecks as they come around the corner as fast as they can in the last lap. I guess we're a little blood-thirsty. It's exciting!
