So, this weekend we went to the boat show and ran into our good, silly friends, got free sunglasses, ate really expensive, bad nachos, and had lots of fun.
I have no pictures of our Sunday, but we had a wonderful morning at church and lunch out with friends while it dumped snow. I cooked Super Bowl food and took a nap that afternoon, and then we went to a Souper Bowl party that evening.
So, this girl was outside in the snow, a.k.a. sleeping in her dog house MANY hours of the day.
We awoke at 3am to her barking. This was confusing and annoying because today is a SNOW DAY! And we were going to sleep in-ish. I had a dream of keeping my head on the pillow until 7, making pancakes, and sending Nathan off to work in a slow, relaxed manner.
However, even with the shock collar on (cruel, I know, but sleep is precious), she found the courage to bark quite a bit. We were stubborn, willing ourselves to have the sleep we intended, and kept our heads on the pillows until 6.
After 3 hours of non-sleep, I decided sleep would never come until I fed her and let her out, and kids were getting up anyway, so I went to her and the smell greeted me first.
The darn, poor girl had it all over her. Poo, that is. So the morning did not involve any pancakes or slowness. She got a bath, and she was mad at us. She went outside, soaking wet from her bath, and wouldn't come back to the door. She stayed out for a few hours with her hair all icy. :( Offering treats didn't even tempt her.
She's back in now, but we clearly offended her. We're bad, lazy parents, but I think we've learned our lesson.
Thankfully, at the boat show there was a Scentsy stand, and I had purchased a new Scentsy smell called Sparkling Citrus Pear and it is very clean smelling, so I put the whole block in my burner.
While grumpy Luc was outside, I took 2 shirts that were both ill-fitting, and helped them become symbiotic friends. It wouldn't do just to wear the silky button-up under the sweater. It's just a bad shirt and the collar would look silly. The un-breathing material always made me sweat/stink instantly, so I chopped the bottom half off and threw the terrible armpits/arms and collar away. The sweater was just too short, but has adorable meshy sleeves. So now I have an awesome shirt!
And then for even greater happiness on this snow day, I frothed some milk for my decaf and pulled out some cheesecake-brownie cupcakes I failed to bring to the super bowl party. Oops. :)

Lucy is bold. Charlotte would never do that. Lucy is an honest dog and I appreciate that. Poor girl. I'm super impressed by your shirt. How do you make frothy milk? I won't do it. I'm just curious. Cow milk?
Gosh now I'm dying for some coconut oil blended coffee! I know that's not what you did, but that's what it reminded me of. But Audrey is asleep so I must wait.
