I have these back problems off and on. I am usually having to stand up and straighten up slowly. I start out bent over and eventually work my way to good posture. I started out the week with a bit more pain in the lower back. By Thursday it was worked out and I went to the gym. All I did was walk really fast, ride a bike, and do the monster stair step machine (all lower body stuff). I didn't feel that I worked my back. I woke up this morning, bent over to put one foot into my pant leg. Pain shot through my back and I knew immediately I had destroyed myself for a day or two. So I'm moving slowly.
Then as I was hobbling through my cluttered house to get breakfast and juice on the table, I slipped on a plastic hanger. I didn't fall, just jerked myself around. I kicked the hanger off the slippery wood floor back onto the rug (I was also a little mad at the hanger), which was really stupid. It hurt so much, I hobbled to the couch, eased down onto it, put a pillow over my face and cried. The girls don't know what to think when they see me cry, because moms don't cry, right? So, they thought that was funny.
I have no idea what I'm doing to hurt myself. If anyone has any back advise, I'd love to hear it. I guess I could just go to a chiropractor...

eat some juice plus. what kind of pre-natal pill are you taking? you should get some research on it and make sure it has folic acid. Oprah did a study on certain pills to find out if they were lying about what was in them. A lot of pre-natal pills ended up not having folic acid like they claimed. juice plus was one of the few pills that had what it said they had in it. maybe you're having a boy and it's doing weird things to you and you're just not used to it. sorry you cried. that's funny that the girls laughed. love you.
It's called PREGNANCY. I think your husband did it to you. I had such awful back issues with Alayna that I could walk right after I got out of bed or if I had sat for a while. I crawled to the bathroom at night! It's true. Chiro would probably help. The only sure-fire cure will probably not happen for about 25 more weeks.
Hey Amanda! It's a good think I do this for a living:) Catch me on Sun or Mon and I'll look at your back for you. It sounds like you did something. I bet it's very fixable.
Amanda, may be a slipped disk/bulging disc. That is very common and usually causes an "electricity" (sharp, shocky) sort of pain that shoots through your back and sometimes down 1 leg. Could be from pregnancy pulling on your spine, or you could have already had it and pregnancy made it worse.... careful with chiropractor when pregnant, make sure he/she has handled pregnant women before...
so Ive been having back issues lately too, so I've done some recent research. Sciatic nerve problems are very typical with pregnant women. Its in your lower back and often shoots shocking pain down your leg. Does it hurt when you sit and feel better when you stand up or lay down? Usually it goes away on it's own-- but often not till after you have the baby.
when are you due? are you waiting to find out if its a boy or girl?
I'm excited for you, but sorry your back hurts. Your girls are cute. Thats funny that they laughed at you....
