Things to come

I am too excited about my next project, so I'm sharing my future plans with you. And if I can remember, I'll take pictures along the way to show how I do it (though I'm not sure how I do it is the right way. It's just my way).
Sorry this picture is so dark. It's our bedroom windows. The previous owners left us with half their panels and half Lowe's temporary paper shades.
The windows in our house are mostly short and wide, which means panels are just awkward, I think. I'm just finding that roman shades are the way to go in this house.
And then I'll ask Nathan to put trim around every window...some day.
Lo and behold, I ran across this burlap in Joann's. Good ol' $2/yard burlap! Am I a dork to be so excited about my burlap? I just am. I think it will make some charming shades.
