Nothing like a nap to recharge the brain and remind you that the world can be a happy place. :)
Lola is sick and snotty and cries through her naps during the day and has been waking at 5:40 every morning. The one morning she didn't, Kate did. So every day that I stay up too late, 5:40 comes and makes me crankier and crankier, so that by day 3 of this, I was a wreck. In my rush to fix lunches and breakfast this morning, I opened a lower cabinet door that doesn't open all the way because it hits the oven door. As it hit the oven door and did not budge past it's 45 degree angle, my sleepy brain forgot the normal habbit of this stupid door and I bent down to grab a pot, slamming my eye brow into the corner of this stupid, stubborn door. I dropped the pot (slam!) to the tile, grabbed my throbbing eye brow and had a day dream of shoving that door to the 90 degrees I wish it would go, snapping it in two. Then I walked to my room, let all the tears come out that needed to, looked in the mirror at my hidious lump above my eye, and went back to grab my pot to make some oatmeal. Smirky Nathan approached to rub my back and ask if I was alright. I spit out my answer as I made oatmeal and he laughed and said, "You hardly notice it." And then laughed at his funny little joke because you can hardly miss it. But now that I've had my nap, I can laugh at his little joke.
