I love all you commenters

Oh friends, thanks for your comments. You made me go from a slouching, sad woman to a slouching, happy woman last night. :) I kept slouching because I was so darn tired, but you made me smile.
Sunday's are supposed to be restful! We did not rest, but we did have fun. We had our first, weekly, Owasso Redeemer church plant service in our new location last night. We also had an afternoon birthday party so Kate got her nap in the van, half as long as it should have been. By the time I pulled into the driveway past bed time last night, Kate had been crying for the whole 35 minute drive home. I opened the van doors in our quiet little neighborhood only to scare all the crickets and frogs to silence with all our wailing (Riley had hurt her toe, so she was crying too, and Claire was yelling to everyone about the van lights or something). Nathan was driving separately a few minutes behind us, so for those few minutes Kate stood in the front yard with her arms extended in the direction that Nathan should be aproaching, crying out for Daddy to come home, and that she wanted to watch a move and not go to sleep.
Anyway, good times.

All you moms out there who stay inside your house with your kids most of the time, I have a tip for you, because it turned me around this morning. As you're rushing around the house fixing lunches and breakfasts and finding school uniforms that your daughter won't cry about having to wear, just find an excuse to step outside for 2 minutes. I had to go to the van for Riley's shoes and belt, and my oh my, mornings in September are heaven outside. I walked outside and felt the weight slide off of me in the perfect crisp air. Then go swing with your 3-year-old. Of course, when you come back inside you will eventually have to do the dishes and laundry and clean jelly off of the table, but breathing some outside air first, thanking Jesus for your family, and getting a grateful heart in the morning helps a lot.

Irony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went outside this morning to get away from Charlotte (not really), and I found huge poops in the grass... and the spot on the fence where she struggled to get over, and did get over, the privacy fence. Now she's barking at me because I told her "NO" when she was chewing on Tyler's shoe. Going outside was nice though.

Cute kids.

I think I'll view taking out the trash as a task with a double purpose now.
