I am so thankful for my family (I'm speaking of the one I was born into, not the one I birthed). It's my Mom's birthday tomorrow and Shannon just came into town, so we just had a Big Al's birthday lunch and a mocha trifle with all the sisters and Mom and Dad. Family is great. We have dumb inside jokes and we're all scarred by our childhood in the same way, so we understand each other's quirks. :) (That's kind of a joke, Mom and Dad. They're good scars :))
I will be totally pumped if my girls grow up to feel that their own family is as safe and fun a haven as I feel my family is.

yeah - Thursday was great fun and good food and the most fabulous company I could ask for. Love it. Maybe if I did Thankful Thursday I would keep up with my blog better. I'm personally feeling more in tune with Tired Tuesdays. Hmm - I should commit to one blogging day a week at least. :)
