I had no sugar in my coffee and no syrup on my waffle this morning. And I'll bake no desserts for 40 days. I may make some pudding for the kids when I feel sorry for them. I could have given up 12 other things. Hulu and netflix, coffee, working out, browsing at Target...maybe next year.
I got my tickets to Baltamore last night. I'll fly there in May to meet my mother-in-law and sister-in law, and then we'll all head to England for 9 days. I'm getting very excited!
Nathan took all the girls to Hobby Lobby the other night. I sat in the den and sipped my wine while humming the tune to the song, "What a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man..." And when they got back they had all the materials for a chore chart. He made it and hung it up, and the past few evenings the girls have put their dishes in the sink, their clothes in their drawers, and their toys in the toy boxes. All for the joy of putting a sticker in a box. Why didn't I do this sooner?

Chore charts are life-changing! I've been having the boys put their laundry away for awhile now and Alayna decided she was big enough too. Wow - one of my most dreaded chores is now crossed off the list. Hooray for me (and you!). Thanks for blogging - i missed you!
I loved chore charts when you and your siblings were young. Along with the saying, "Do Not Make More Work for (M)others!
:) That is awesome. I need to come visit you guys soon.
I love chore charts! We are just using a white board, but when James get more "chores" we'll start a chart I think:)
