The trip was just great. I was there with smart, awesome ladies who knew the names of every plant and bird, and are history buffs, and who were not daunted by the trains, busses, and underground schedules. There were a few occasions of just being overwhelmed with gratefulness that I got to be there and experience sheep and hills and old castles, fish and chips and cider.
Checking into the Volunteer inn. We slept above this rowdy tavern and the partying Brits kept us awake.
Lura in Old Sarem castle. That was one of my grateful moments.
The baths in Bath. They were warm and bubbly.
Me at the top of a tower after our 5-mile hike down the Cotswald Way. I highly recommend it.
There were many sheep.
Lunch at the Swan in the town whose name I can't remember, after our Cotswald walk.
It was cold and rainy at Stonehenge, bust still awesome.
Many sheep.
When I got home the girls had planned a luau party for me. They gave me a grass skirt and flower necklace, a mojito and some cake, and luau music. Maybe I'll put those pics up later.
It's good to be home. School's out. I'm reading Loving the Little Years - Motherhood in the Trenches by Rachel Jankovic. It's good and perfect timing for coming home from vacation. :)
