This is our baby in her crib.
But it's high time she promote to the pink, plastic, princess toddler bed.
We moved Riley along with a set of bunk beds into Lola's room.
Sad story: We were in the midst of hauling out Lola's chest of drawers (of which my very own dad built when they needed furniture for their nursery). She was a little upset with all the change quickly taking place around her, and she began pleading with us, "My THOCKTH! Don't take my THOCKTH!"
We laughed, but I did get a little sad, knowing we didn't have room for the rocking chair in there any more. Rocking at bedtime is a Lola tradition I am not ready to give up. So we moved the old rocking chair into the den. It's ugly, by the way, so we drape it in a quilt.
So, though my baby grows and I can't stop her, I can still rock her for now.
We'll give her a week or so of adjusting to Riley being there with her and then it's into the big girl bed with our baby.
