We had plenty of stuff to do last week and today is the first day of summer that we're just sitting around. Riley is pretending she's too weary to eat breakfast. Her sisters are playing just fine but she's moaning about needing more movies. And then I remembered how fun mad libs are. I wrote a story about how Riley only wanted to watch movies all summer while her mom cleaned _____ (a number) ______'s (an object), which turned out to be 25 recliners. :)
Riley filled in the blanks with her favorite body parts, adjectives, and numbers. The story is hilarious and all of the sudden she is energy filled and creative-brained. It really woke up her brain and it was fun!
