A Swell Sunday. With Lots of Pictures.

I was chopping a salad before church and Claire pointed out how pretty the cabbage was.

While we were both marveling at the pretty lines, Nathan had an idea:

:)  He's full of great ideas!
In case you don't know what's happening, he scanned it and now the pretty lines are the backdrop of our desktop.
So that was our fun, cabbage-appreciating morning...

My dad is one who is almost always building something.  Mostly barns. :) I helped him build a couple back in the day.  You have to have a cow barn, but then you need a chicken barn.  Oh, and a bike/wagon/basket ball barn.  So, he has those barns, but then he had a dream of blessing his grandkids with this beautiful, fantastical, very awesome pirate ship.  He's worked on it almost every weekend for months, and now it's done.

And Sunday afternoon was a perfect day to go to Mimi and Papa's to have the first big play on the newly finished Pirate Ship.
Isn't it glorious?!

"Arrr!"

It was pretty much a perfect, joy-filled afternoon.

The cousins just played their hearts out with each other.

This ship has everything.  There is a little hidey place underneath, a climbing wall in back, and there will soon be a zip line.  It really is a kids dream come true.

And Kate is cute.

Papa had other motives in inviting the kids to play.  He needed help picking up all the leftover wood.

The kids hauled it to the fireplace and Papa made us a nice fire.

It was huge and beautiful.

We stood by the fire and told stories, and patted Ange's baby bump. :)

Gave our loved ones hugs.

And Ange beat Bob in foosball.

Some adults even did a little playing.

It was a memory making day for sure.  Thanks for being so awesome, Papa. :)
