Sorry the weekend update is coming Tuesday afternoon. The past couple of days have been full of grocery shopping, cousin playing, and valentine baking attempts.
Here is our Saturday. It's the new Weber family tradition. Riley makes us waffles!
I LOVE Saturdays! Riley loves it too, so it's a win, win.
We've decided to expand the garden. We have two smaller beds, but now we're adding a non-bedded plot for those viny squarsh and cantaloupe.
The good husband tilled for 3 hours breaking up this bush-root infested ground.
So, we love dress-up over here.
It's awkward family photo time. Claire flopped her ponytail over her head to make the front bang. She was being totally manly, and when she gets into character, she does not come out. Straight face, man voice, arm around her "wife." Hilarious/disturbing.
And Riley just scares me with how much she loves to posture herself. Dear me.
"Mom. This...can kill you."
I made breakfast ahead for our hurried school mornings. Strawberry choc chip, whole-wheat, heart-shaped, "pop tarts." They're great! It's from 100 days of real food. I pinned the recipe if you want to go grab it. Be more generous than I was with the filling though. Or better yet, pipe a few lines of glaze or melted white choc on top.
Giant fortune cookie valentines. They taste great, but I'm afraid they're a little sloppy looking. I'll pipe some chocolate art on them.
We also attended a birthday party and 2 sleepovers in there somewhere. And took Aunt Ange out for dinner. Aren't weekends the best?
If you've been a lazy blogger lately (Alyson :)), then I would encourage you to at least be purposeful about capturing your weekend and documenting some of the things you enjoyed while the whole fam was together.
Remember when you used to scrapbook everything and now you don't have the time (or printed pictures, probably)? Well, blog it on up. You should record it for yourself, and I want to see it too. :)
