I need to be fast on here because I have piles of lists to check off before Nathan and I can celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Wahoo!
So, Sunday was just a tee, tiny bit exhausting. There was church and all (a ribbon cutting to introduce us to the newly renovated front half of the building), then lunch and cleanup, then I took Claire to a swimming birthday party, wherein I stood in the humid pool area for 2 hours. Sorry to complain, but small talk with the parents gets hard when you're yawning, sweating, and back-aching. Anyway, I'm one of those losers who didn't love every minute of that and I was dreaming of the Sunday afternoon nap I wished I were experiencing. But, Claire had some serious fun, and I'm glad. :)
Things did improve. After coming home and saying, "What happened here?! This is so depressing!" The girls had wrecked the house while I was gone. I sat in the backyard, getting over my depression, while Nathan made them clean up their mess. Then we went to our favorite pizza place. A little sunshine and wine did the trick. And these hilarious girls.
Kate said, "Mom, I really do like your pizza, but I like this pizza better than your home wheat." Get it, I make whole wheat dough. :)
Lola does this when she knows I'm taking a picture. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
Once back home, the girls ran around like horses and jumped on the trampoline, Nathan plucked the ol' guitar and we flipped through the hymnal, singing and occasionally instructing the horses until bedtime.
And I just want to say, it's pretty great being married to this musical genius. I was a cappella Amanda all my life, and now I have something to sing to. The past 10 years have been very musically fulfilling. :)

And now it's Monday, which began with digging through the trash for the girls' school folders I may have accidentally thrown away. But then I watered some flowers while the sun was coming up. It's a good way to start a Monday.
I think the next time you hear from me, I'll be posting some anniversary pictures.
