This is what egg dying looks like at our house.
Really, they did have fun. :)
We celebrated Easter at Mimi and Papa's on Saturday with the cousins.
There was a pretty huge egg hunt.
And then I sent them on a scavenger hunt from the pool house toilet to the garden green house.
It ended with a message in the grill, "He is not here. Here is risen!" They were expecting a stash of candy. Oh well. It was fun. :)
And in between I guess they had a water fight.
And drew chalk bodies.
Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa's was beautiful.
After Grandma had spent the morning preparing a sunrise service breakfast for their church, she prepared a beautiful Easter lunch for us.
Our official group Easter picture. Lola escaping.
The weather was perfect.
The flower picking was thrilling.
We sat outside sipping our decaf and eating this dessert that you must make. It is a chocolate-hazelnut torte. Flour-less, hazel-nutty macaroon, dark chocolate, light cream layers. Actually pretty simple to make, and just heavenly.

That torte looks nice.
Riley in the water fight picture looked like Shan when she was little.
