Feeling Chatty

Ah, the kiddos were awake by 5:40.  Breakfast eaten and books read by 7:11.
Now it's 7:30 and I want to mow the lawn, but I fear I'll wake the teenagers next door.

Nathan is out of town and I despise making dinner on such nights.  I'm thinking humus and pita bread and wine tonight.  Last night he kept sending me pictures of his lobster and crab dinner by Lake Washington, out on a little deck.  I screamed at him through text. :)

I get to take my niece, Adelle, to her "Mommy and Me" swimming lesson today and tomorrow.  I hear she's strong and cries her way through it.  I'm really looking forward to this bonding time.  I'm determined to make her love swimming and to be her favorite aunt. :)

Hey, if anyone wants some basil, let me know.  We're getting tired of pesto.

All you ladies in my family.  Are you taking your calcium?  In the past year my nails have started to chip (I had always been proud of the strength of my nails), my knees and toes hurt, my back broke, and I feel like I have hip displasia.  Then I realized I'm not very purposeful with my yogurt, and I had switched to Almond milk a couple of years ago.  I convinced myself that my huge spinach smoothie a day gave me so much goodness I could just eat granola bars and carrots for my meals.  Once I connected some dots I started taking my calcium again.  Also, my doc told me fish oil supplements would help with arthritis.  So, before I crumble to pieces I decided to take those a couple of times a day.    I'm not sure if eating less meat the past couple of years would have anything to do with it. ?

Sometimes I'm just moving so fast I never stop to think about how I feel or what's happening to me.  It wasn't until I sat down one evening and explained all my pain to Nathan, and realized this is not normal for a 31-yr-old gal.
I do like to think that I'm a beast of a hard worker, and that's why I'm more broken than the rest of the 31-yr-olds. :)
Don't just work through your pain like an animal.  Take your vitamins.

Okay, I'm just going to mow.  The teenagers need to wake up.

What is it with kids thinking before six is a good time to wake up? Noah's newest routine is 5:15!! I guess the sun is sort of up ... ;)

If I were you I would mow early before it gets too hot. I guess I have not considered my neighbors when I mow at 7 in the morning. :) Also, I eat ice cream and yogurt so maybe that has given me enough calcium?? Those are some of my favorite things to eat while pregnant. :)
