I'm a silly woman, with flights of fancy.

Those ticks ($53 later) appear to be the effects of her flea medication 2 weeks ago.  The fleas are finally dying.  Those flea babies crawling off of her somehow looked like baby ticks to me.  Oh well.

Maybe this is what stress does to you?  All my family will attest to the fact that I seem far more air-headed than I was before I had children.  What I thought was gestational stupidity seemed to stick and then multiply itself with each child.

On a happier note, Nathan has grace for silly women.  Namely, me:

"Just because" flowers are pretty wonderful.  He brought them in, and after I kissed him Kate said, with a roll of her eyes, "It's like you're getting married all over again." :)

In other news, we bought school supplies for 2 of the 3 girls, and I decided to put off the purse shopping forever and ever, amen.  It's all those reams of paper, my gracious.  $$$

After much practice, Claire has perfected the sock bun:

And of course she had to put a flower clip and ribbon around it, which I was unaware of when I went to talk with the neighbors afterward.  They were smiling so big.  I'm sure they understand.

This lady's kitchen inspired me to paint one of my kitchen walls with chalk paint.  I choose this wall, because it's small.  I'll put a scripture up there and some fancy lines.  Is that juvenile and faddy?  I think I still love the idea.

Time to talk the Lucy.

Oh that could be cool. You could have your kids write a weekly Bible verse or something cute. I should do that.

I also think chalkboard paint is whatever you said, but I still did it. I don't know why :) It will be cute.
