We've got a little sickness. I think it all started with allergies but has turned to severe coughing in a couple of the girls. Claire coughs until her eyes are blood-shot, her tummy hurts, and tears are rolling down her cheeks. Kate is almost as bad.
The rest of us just have sinusy things. I have an occasional itch in my ear that can only be scratched by swallowing.
My gum paste cow and bunny hugging for the top of Lola's cake are so terrible. I guess I'll go on with it though. We'll all have a good laugh. But I do want Lola to think her cake is pretty. I'll have to cover them in sparkly sprinkles.
We took Lucy on 2 good walks yesterday, but I guess napping while we were at church and napping after I took her for a run were too many naps. She barked from 1am-ish till early morn. Is this normal? She's 4 months old for crying out loud.
Between her barking and Claire's coughing, it was a rough night. We have a doctor's appt today, but they never can help much with a cough. It's something we always have to power through with a humidifier for a few weeks. But I'd like to make sure it's not bronchitis or something before we decide to power through. Claire doesn't have time for that.
Sorry, but I don't think anyone can say the word bronchitis without saying some form of "ain't nobody got time fo that." Am I right?
My book, A Million Little Ways, is just great. I'm almost done and I still highly recommend it.
I just have a problem with my mom brain, and that is that each page has something on it that I don't want to forget (this is the case with tons of books I read), so I go back and read it again or underline it. But unless I memorize it and write it on a chalk wall, and preach it to 3 people, I will not remember it in the moment that it could be applied. I keep forgetting good things. I need to meditate more. But once the kids are in bed I want hot tea and a movie; brain off stuff.
That's it. I'm going to start memorizing again. I know grown moms who are still able to apply larges passages to memory. Ask me to recite something the next time you see me. Hopefully, I'll have something besides excuses for you. :)
Okay, the dog is napping, so I should too.

I'm doing a James study... and memorizing James. We'll see about that. But just for fun I went back and jogged my memory of the Proberbs 31 Woman to the tune of ATI. It's still in there.
I just read an article on meditating. I will post the link on my blog or something.
Amanda, I know you memorized Rom 6 with me and you still have that memorized, right? It was so easy then. And its ended up being a super blessing for me to have that passage in my brain. I think if you write a passage on your wall it should be easy to memorize that way. I need a chalk walk like you.
