The more projects, the merrier.
This morning Claire invented the yarn-weave on Nathan's plastic measuring cups (He has hundreds for when he needs to precisely measure out liquid epoxies). This is Lola's woven cup.
Also, I finally got the gray around the edges of a bedroom.
It's reading log time. And here are our finished reindeer pillows.
So, below is a picture of 1) a coloring book I was looking through at Target. :) I thought this pattern was pretty for painting on a wall. Though it would take half my life. I like the idea of free-hand, natural (even imperfect) looking.
2) the gold diamondy pattern in the middle of the second photo is something I copied off of a wallpaper I saw on Pinterest. I'm trying to imagine it over the whole wall, with framed art on top of it. Can't decide what I think...
Guys, this is the surprise I was working on, when I said I would share the youtube videos that taught me how to do a crocheted bobble stitch. This is my first one ever, and of course, as is my custom, it is not perfectly square. But Shannon screamed when she saw it, so I'm happy. :)
This girls taught me how. She goes very slowly, which annoyed me the first time, so I only watched half of the first video rather than all 5 videos. :) But going slow is good if you really want to know how to do this. After working for a week on my blanket and realizing it was terrible, I ripped it out, went back and watched all the videos, and it actually worked. :)

My baby will love to be wrapped up in it, and one day drag it all over the house. I love the idea of a somewhat messily painted wall - not uniform - just freehand. You could totally handle it.
