I'm crocheting a crazy-bright blanket.  Nathan scoffs at me because babies like soft colors, right?  Oh well.
Haha! It's dumb bright, isn't it.  I think my phone camera adds a little more glare to it.
Alyson, if you think Coleman will like it, he can have it. :)
It is a soft yarn.  Anyway...

It's too cold to walk the dog, but I did it.
She's out eating old tomato plant vines and chewing up our trees right now.  How I'd love to plant a wisteria vine back there, but she'd eat it.

She makes me so tired that I hardly ever work out.  Or when I do, I stare and yawn between intervals.    So, I decided to put myself before the dog and do my workout first, then with whatever energy I had left, I trotted around a block or two with her while Lola cried under blankets draped all over the stroller.
I'm very proud of myself.  I have a pile of excuses I could grab to not do this hard thing, but I did it today.  Maybe tomorrow I'll use one of the excuses, but at least I did the hard stuff today.

Sometimes it is very freeing to let yourself use one of those excuses and just rest, and you should, and not feel guilty.  But, I've been doing that a lot lately. :/

Oh ya!  I forgot to tell you how my Psyllium bread (follow that link if you want the recipe) changed my life.  Well, friends and neighbors, I don't want to get too personal, but, it is very good for me.  The girls are not fans of baked oatmeal, and this bread does remind us of baked oatmeal.  It's a dense, nutty, oatmeal loaf.  I toast it with honey and just love it.  No one else in my family likes it, so it's all mine.  I sliced two loaves and put it in the freezer, so all I have to do is pull out a slice or two in the morning and pop it in the toaster.  Do it!

This girl, Lola, is very fun.
She smashes the juice out of shredded zucchini.

She naps on the puppy.

She talks and talks and talks about legos and her drawings and her dreams. :)

Last week was Pajamas and Pancakes day at school.  When she got back from school she said, "That was really fun wearing my jammies to school, but Mom, there was a dirty spot on my shirt, so I tried to hide it from my teacher."  I joked, "Oh, I'm so sorry!  I'm a terrible mom."  I was expecting reassurance from her, but she said not unkindly, "Well, that's not hard.  Even terrible moms can put clean jammies on their kids." She makes me laugh.
