It has been such a fun weekend. But you always pay the price for fun. I worked hard to get away, making meals for the fam while Nathan and I went to the lake for one night. Ange and Bob stayed with the girls. They are, like, angels really. So I made food for them, made food for staying at the lake, and food that could already be ready as soon as I got back so I could take it to another fun activity. And let's just say it was well into the a.m. hours by the time we got to bed at the lake. It was just a packed, awesome weekend.
However, we woke up this Monday morning with no food left. It's disappointing to work so hard and in 2 days all your work got eaten.
Ha! It's also disappointing to look back and think of all the stuff I ate and realize it's time to work it off.
So I rolled out of bed, having not worked out in a couple of days, this always makes my back hurt. Weird huh. I think as soon as my core gets weak, my posture gets bad, I pick Lola up in a half slump to put her on the toilet and whamo, my back is out.
So my back was feeling like an old woman, the girls were not happy that their cereal had no milk, and I realized I needed to get moving fast if I was going to make their lunches and breakfasts before time to drive them to school.
I just couldn't let them eat school lunches today. It's been too much of a cheesy weekend and the school serves pretty much bread and cheese meals. Bad news for our family.
Anyway...I was driving the girls to school and Kate asked if I could walk them in rather than drop them off at the curb. I said, "I'm sorry Kate, I'm too tired to get looked at today." Which confused her, but then she really took the time to look at me and I think she began to understand. :)
Early bed times for me the next few nights just so I can recoup. My g-store friends have seen me at my worst, so they'll still love me.
