But, I didn't even show you my floors and my backsplash. Look at that lovely dirt-camo floor. Hasn't been cleaned in a week, and you wouldn't have known. :)
Sorry these pictures are dark. I'm a bad photographer. But truly, now that you see the Raffia next to my floors, I'm not sure they compliment one another.
Here's my glass tile backsplash. It's dark too.
That's everything all together. Hmmm, guys, I'm leaning toward white.
If I had my own way, I'd chop 6" off the bottom of my top cabinets, turn the backsplash white, and repaint my red walls something lighter. But while I would enjoy constantly changing my wall colors, Nathan is a firm believer in keeping the same wall color for 10 years. No matter how much I bat my eyes at him, he won't change his mind.
Sometimes I think that when he's gone on his next business trip I'll surprise him, but that is evil.

Surprise him! You're brilliant. I'm leaning toward snow caps too. My cabinets are dark brown and I clean them off once a week and sometimes more often than that. I don't think it matters what color they are as far as cleanliness goes.
I agree the white will look better with the floors. If you use a high gloss paint it is sooo much easier to clean and will last longer. we used semi gloss on our closet doors and high gloss in the bathroom on the cabinets and I can really tell a difference in the durability.
