This girl, Kate, she is the sweetest thing.
She gets a little tired and emotional as the day comes to an end. I was cleaning up dinner and her body was just sagging in despair because all she ever wanted was to "help someone with something."
She begged me to "sew" so she could help me with my ball of yarn. We have a tradition now where I crochet and she lets out my yarn as I tell her I need more. She LOVES this job.
Sorry, Blogger won't let me center some of my photos. Blah, Blogger.
Anyway, in-between letting out yarn, she makes sure I'm comfortable. She props pillows behind my back and under my feet, and sets the light dimmer just right. She loves creating an atmosphere of comfort.
After all that work, she said, "Since I had to help you so much, I wanted to do some relaxing." I love these little traditions. :)
More exciting happenings:
Our neighbors had their half-dead tree cut down. In order to do this they had to remove the power line from our house so we had a dark and quiet day, and a really exciting afternoon after school, eating apples and watching the men work.
Lastly, here is another pancake I decided to try. I think I already shared my oat-flour, blueberry recipe. Well, I guess I like making pancakes that make my girls cry. :)
These were, "weird" according to the girls. I love a pumpkin pancake, but the caramel/ginger syrup was a bit much. Ah well.
