We had such a great time with good friends at Beaver Lake this past weekend.
The weather was magnificent and so unlike August. We were chilly on our boat ride.

I jacketed up to try my hand at surfing. I almost got up.
These guys are cooler than I. Seriously.
Nathan gets passed a beer while he surfs.
I guess he's cooler than me too.
Brenda got up.
Steph did too.
Kari tried to teach me. But I did more swimming for my board than anything.
Oh well. Next time...
Nathan warmed up his rock climbing muscles and swung off a rope.
Upon arrival our husbands surprised us with having brought in a masseuse to the cabin. All the wives got a massage!
We did a lot of long morning coffee drinking. We enjoyed late, late night, slow dinner eating. It was super relaxing, but we did get a little off schedule. Like, having dinner at 10:30 in the evening. I guess that made coming home to kids hungry for dinner at 5pm and dogs ready to poo at 5am a little rough. I'm getting back on track though. And my gracious, I shan't complain.
School starts very soon, as does piano, puppy training school, worship team rehearsals, homework, dance, soccer, lunch packing...it's gonna be fun.

oh wow! a massage! how lovely. You're cooler than me... I wouldn't have even tried to surf. Good job.
