Heyooo

Sorry I seem to have become a once-a-week blogger.  This puppy business breaks up my life into 30 minute segments.  If I wait 47 minutes until taking her out, we have a mess.  For now, we don't leave her in the crate for more than an hour  at a time to run errands.

In order to make life more manageable, as I did with all our babies, I "baby-wise" the puppy.  I can't help it.  When she's on a schedule, then we can take advantage of her crated nap times, and I know exactly when I can shower, leave the house, fix dinner...and sometimes I just crate her because I'm annoyed. :)

So, this morning I let the girls be in charge of her, which meant she slept on the couch while they watched a movie and I trimmed the trees, bagged piles of soggy, mosquito harboring leaves, and then mowed the lawn.  After 2 hours of that I came in to well-rested people wanting me to fix them food and take them swimming.  Gaaaah.  We're back from swimming now, the dog is napping again, and I've had my second cup of coffee.

It's those crated nap times where I can finally clean the bathrooms without her trying to lick up Scrubbing Bubbles.  Just like having a 2-hr-old, really.

Guys, I made some breakfast cookies, because one of my friends Pinned an oatmeal sandwich cookie (with cream in the middle) and I said, "I want that for breakfast!"

But I also want to be skinny. :)  So, I found This Recipe of oatmeal chocolate ship breakfast cookies made with oat flour that I ground in the food processor, and they are sweetened with date paste (soak dates in water then process until it's mush).  They are bound with a "flax egg" (1 Tbsp flax seed meal whisked with 3 Tbsp water).

By themselves they would be just fine and dandy.  But I love the idea of the sandwich cookie, so I mixed some brown sugar in with cream cheese and let that be the filling.  I'm always so happy with myself when I take the time to make breakfast that's like dessert, only healthy.

I'm sorry I have no pictures to share or finished projects to speak of, except for the ironing. :)
I'm just trying to stay on top of normal stuff these days.  I actually had a dream last night that I got to slip away and go purse shopping, with 2 kids, but at least I got to go.  It's been a hopeful dream in the back of my mind for a few months now. :)  But I know that soon the pup will have a larger bladder and the girls will be in school, and I'll blog 3 times a week about all the stuff I'm getting done.

Love you all's.
