Gardenias are gorgeous. These are the new front bushes. They're experiencing a little shock from transplanting them, so the blooms are turning brown. But they'll perk up soon with all the love and water I'm giving them.
This is the little one, post nap (so, happy), waiting outside the school for sisters. It's a tradition for me to take her picture while we wait. :)
It's October, and I keep thinking I'll just wake up one day and need to wear some jeans. But I keep needing my shorts. And I keep rotating the same 3 shorts. So I decided to chop myself some new ones.
My favorite form of shorts are cutoffs, because you make them the length that is best for you and your leg.
My absolute favorite are my navy slacks that had gotten too short, but fit great everywhere else. Chino cutoffs make awesome shorts.
These shorts pictured are not as awesome, but they are my new Target sale rack, cutoffs. I bought their skinnies a size bigger and chopped them off.
Foolishly, I used to cut off ill-fitting pants and think that I'd be happier with the bum area after the knees were chopped. Make sure you purchase something that actually looks good on you (your hiney). It feels easier to cut them up if you pay sale price. These were $12. I like 'em!
Got myself a mum!
Lucy is ready for her brisk walk.
These are the best weeks of our weather lives. And thankfully, with this mild summer, for the first time in my memory, our tomato plants are alive in October, and still feeding us!
Alright, I really do need to walk Lucy now. You all have a sweet weekend.

what nice legs you've got. I love those shorts! I will say, you've always been a cutoff girl. I love that. Can't wait to cut off my old slacks.. when they fit around my belly again. It's so cold here! 55 degrees. No more shorts for me.
