Lola's been a bit anxious about this snow storm coming. This morning I was confused to see someone had closed the curtains. Lola did it "just in case the storm was gonna try to come in".
At the grocery store I had to keep reminding her that it wouldn't be here for another day or two. But she was in a panic and kept squealing and saying, "Hurry Mommy!"
We had a conversation on the drive home from the grocery store about the promise God made to never flood the whole earth again, and how He sends the rainbow to remind us of His promise. Lola was hoping that meant He'd never send a snow storm either. I told her, no, He never promised that. We really are going to have a snow storm. She was disappointed.
It's always in the back of her mind. Always coming up in conversation. So, we had this reassuring conversation just now, and I had to write it down before I forgot it. Watch out, it's cute.
Lola, talking to me from the toilet:
"When God sends the snow storm, and then the rain comes, that means He promises never to send a snow storm again.
God keeps lots of promises. *sing-songy* He keeps rain promises. He keeps lightning promises. He keeps snow storm pr- haha, well, He hasn't kept his snow storm promise yet!
Well, He's almost gonna keep his snow storm promise."
She's wishfully thinking this will be the last big snow storm of ever. Hopefully it's not too scary and we keep our power. :)

Oh man. How sweet. When I was little I thought it wasn't possible for the US to go to war. When I found out it was, my world flipped. Sweet girl. Hope it doesn't get too bad here. It's already icing here.
Too bad *there
